Notes from the Campaign

1/8/01: The party needed to consult the Dragon Oracle. It only speaks to dragons, of course, so we aimed to have Ferris named an honorary dragon. For that, he needed to have a lair. The solution we settled upon was to defeat a group of cyclopes and take their cave. They proved to be a rather civilized bunch, however, and taking their home didn't feel much like vanquishing monsters. Ferris was especially disturbed by the moral implications of what we had done, and another character offered him this priceless bit of consolation: "You can't get a lair without becoming a monster."
